Desi Lydic took aim at Trump's glitchy interview with Elon Musk on X.
ByAmanda Yeo on
The Daily Show's Desi Lydic has weighed in on Monday night's weird, glitchy X Spaces interview between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. The two-hour chat between billionaires started almost one hour late, with Musk claiming that the issue was a cyber attack on X. However, employees at X have reportedly said this is untrue.
"That's right, only the deep state could make Elon Musk's website suck," quipped Lydic. "If there's a deep state trying to silence Donald Trump, you suck at your job, OK? Because he is the opposite of silent. There is no one more unsilent than Donald Trump right now. Hey, deep state. Look at me. Look at me. Do better."
Lydic also touched on Trump's extremely strange comments about his opponent Kamala Harris' physical appearance on the cover of Time Magazine. In his conversation with Musk, the former president said that Harris "looks like the most beautiful actress to ever live," and likened her appearance to his third and current wife Melania.
"Ooh, someone has a crush!" Lydic joked. "I think we finally found the one thing Trump is incapable of lying about. If he thinks someone is hot, he'll say they're hot. He'll lie about winning an election, but he has deep respect for the sanctity of bangability."
Fellow late shows Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show also recapped the interview.
